Easy white chocolate truffles recipe, made with simple ingredients. These rich and creamy homemade truffles can be modified with many flavors and toppings.

2 cups White chocolate chips
1/4 cup Heavy cream or Condensed milk
1 tsp Vanilla extract
2 cups White chocolate (Melted)
1 cup Toppings (Chopped nuts, candies, sprinkles, powdered sugar, shredded coconut e.t.c )

Steps:

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, add white chocolate, cream or condensed milk, vanilla extract.
  • Heat in the microwave at 30 second increments and mix at each interval to prevent chocolate from burning.
  • Cover bowl with saran wrap and chill in the fridge for 2-3 hours or until mixture is firm enough to handle.
  • Scoop out small portions of the mixture and shape into balls.
  • Dip in melted white chocolate and toss some toppings before the chocolate sets (I did not use any toppings this time).
  • Place on a cookie tray lined with wax paper and let the chocolate set.
  • When the chocolate sets, you can drizzle some more melted white chocolate on top of each truffle. Enjoy!

With so few ingredients, this is a lovely treat that doesn't involve going to the store and spending a fortune there. In between chilling times, you have to work quite quickly with these truffles- I wanted the filling to be soft and creamy so it does begin to melt around the edges if it's in your hands for too long. It is important to use white chocolate chips to dip the truffles in. The chips are designed to melt at a higher temperature so the truffle doesn't melt in your hands as you are eating it! Cook time is chill time.

3 ounces white chocolate
3 tablespoons lemon curd
1 tablespoon heavy cream
powdered sugar
6 ounces white chocolate chips

Steps:

  • In a double boiler, melt the white chocolate (not the chips). You can use a microwave instead of a double boiler, but be very careful not to melt the chocolate too quickly and caramelise it.
  • Add the lemon curd and mix.
  • Add the cream and mix.
  • Put in the freezer to chill for 2-3 hours.
  • Take the mixture out of the freezer and shape into truffle-sized balls. Dust powdered sugar over your hands to stop the truffles melting around the edges. Put the balls on a baking tray covered with baking paper.
  • Put back in the freezer for 1 hour.
  • After about 30 mins, melt the white chocolate chips in a double boiler or microwave.
  • Let the melted chips sit for 20-30 mins to reach room temperature (this will give the truffles a thicker coating of chocolate). If you wait much longer, the chocolate will resolidify and need warming again- this is not a problem as the truffles can stay in the freezer for longer. If the chocolate has cooled too far, it will not coat the truffles evenly.
  • Put the melted chocolate in a small bowl or shotglass and coat each truffle with a layer of white chocolate. Put back on the baking paper and put in the fridge for a few minutes to set.
  • Serve slightly chilled.

1 9×13 lemon cake (baked per box instructions, cooled & crumbled)
1 tbsp butter (softened)
2 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
1 ¼ cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
½-1 tbsp milk if needed
1 tsp lemon extract
1 tbsp lemon zest (if desired)
2 cups white chocolate chips (or melting discs)
½ tbsp coconut oil (for thinning chocolate)
1 Box Krusteaz Meyer Lemon Pound Cake Mix
¾ cup water
10 tablespoons melted butter
1 pouch lemon glaze (enclosed in the Krusteaz cake mix. )
½ cup sifted powdered sugar
3-4 tablespoons water
¼ teaspoon Vanilla Extract
2 cups white chocolate chips or melting discs
Gold and White sprinkles (Or your preferred color and choice of sprinkles)

Steps:

  • Following the boxed cake instructions bake the cake. You need the cake baked, cooled and crumbled to start assembling the truffle.
  • Cream together the butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla & lemon extract. If the frosting is too stiff, add up to 1 tbsp of milk. Add in lemon zest, if desired.
  • Add the crumbled cake and mix throughly.
  • Scoop the cake ball mixture into uniform balls. Freeze for 45 minutes.
  • Once chilled in the freezer, remove and roll each ball in the palm of your hands to create a nice, smooth ball.
  • If desired, melt the white chocolate and dip each truffle in to coat. Transfer to wax paper. Top with white and gold sprinkles. Let cool to set.
  • Store in the fridge or freezer until ready to eat.
  • Preheat your over to 350°F. Lightly grease 8 ½ x 4½ x 2 ½-inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, stir together cake mix, water and butter until well blended. Spoon batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake 44-46 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 20 minutes.
  • Whisk together all the glaze ingredients and set aside.
  • Proceed to crumble baked cake into a large bowl until cake is fine crumbs. Add glaze and stir until combined.
  • Measure 1 heaping tablespoon cake mixture and press together to roll into balls. Set on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Place cake balls in the freezer for at least 1 hour.
  • Melt white dipping chocolate in the microwave. Dip each ball to coat and place on parchment lined pan. Dust each cake ball with gold and white sprinkles.

3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream

2 to 3 drops yellow food coloring (optional)
¼ cup powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Add the white chocolate chips to a medium mixing bowl. Set aside.
  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter and add lemon zest. Stir in the heavy cream and let it come up to temperature until just before it is boiling.
  • Pour the cream mixture through a fine-mesh sieve over the white chocolate chips. Add the lemon and vanilla extract. Add the food coloring, then stir until the mixture is smooth.

Just gorgeous and moreish. I use this recipe every Christmas for gifts. I'm surprised they make it out the house as I'm always eating them myself or using them whenever a guest comes to call. You can also use icing sugar to coat them instead of white chocolate

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/3 cup double cream
1 tablespoon double cream
1 lemon zest (grated no white pith, please)
9 ounces white chocolate (best-quality very finely chopped)
1 pinch salt
1/4 cup unsalted butter, cut into thin slices
2 teaspoons lemon juice (freshly-squeezed and strained)
12 ounces white chocolate, melted
1/4 teaspoon lemon oil (optional)

Steps:

  • Make the truffle base first, as it must be well-chilled before using. In small, heavy, non aluminum saucepan, combine double cream and lemon zest. Over low heat, heat until cream comes to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat. Cover tightly; allow to stand 20 minutes at room temperature.
  • Shortly before cream standing period (20 minutes) is up, combine white chocolate, small pinch of salt, and butter pats in medium heatproof bowl.
  • When cream has stood 20 minutes, remove cover.
  • Reheat cream mixture over low heat, stirring occasionally, until it reaches a simmer again. Remove from heat.
  • Strain through fine-meshed strainer into white chocolate mixture.
  • Press down on the lemon zest left in the strainer to squeeze all the liquid from it.
  • Place white chocolate mixture over warm water on low heat (water should not touch bottom of bowl).
  • Stir frequently just until almost melted; (careful not to burn) remove from heat and hot water.
  • Stir until melted and smooth. (Note: White chocolate, even of excellent quality, can be stubborn about melting. If there are small lumps of white chocolate in your truffle base, transfer the truffle base to a food processor fitted with a steel blade; process at high speed just until smooth.).
  • Transfer truffle base to small bowl. Chill at least 4 hours (overnight is fine, too), covering tightly when cold.
  • When base is chilled, prepare coating.
  • For Coating:.
  • Meanwhile, melt the white chocolate add lemon oil (if wish).
  • To make truffles:.
  • If desired, have ready 1 inch petit four cases for finished truffles.
  • Using a teaspoon form balls of about 1 inch diameter from the cold truffle base.
  • Drop into the melted white chocolate mixture using a fork to assist, dip and turn each ball in the chocolate. Then place on a lined baking tray to allow the chocolate to set. Place in the petit-four cases or storage container.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in refrigerator for up to one week; freeze for longer storage.
  • To serve, remove from refrigerator 15 to 20 minutes prior to serving time. Let stand at room temperature, covered, until serving time.

3/4 cup heavy cream
12 ounces white chocolate chips
1/3 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
1 pound chopped white chocolate (for dipping)
1 tablespoon vegetable shortening (optional)
Garnish: slivers of candied orange or lemon peel

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Place the white chocolate in a large bowl.
  • Place the cream and citrus zests in a small saucepan and simmer until bubbles appear around the sides of the pan.
  • Remove from the heat and cover. Let the cream sit for 30 minutes to infuse and absorb the citrus aromas.
  • Melt the white chocolate in the microwave or over a double boiler.
  • Return the cream to the heat briefly to warm it, then pour it through a strainer over the white chocolate. Stir gently to combine.
  • Cover the ganache with cling wrap and allow to cool to room temperature. Once it has cooled, place the bowl in the refrigerator to firm up, for 4 hours or overnight.
  • Once firm enough to shape, spoon 1-inch balls of ganache onto the prepared baking sheet. Repeat for remaining ganache and place the tray of truffles in the freezer to set for 2 hours.
  • Dust your hands with powdered sugar, then roll the scooped truffles into round shapes. Return to the freezer for another 2 hours to make them firm enough to dip in melted chocolate.
  • Temper the white chocolate , or alternately, melt the chocolate with 1 tablespoon of vegetable shortening. Dip the firm centers in the melted chocolate using dipping tools or two forks. Wipe the excess chocolate on the rim of the bowl, and place the dipped truffle back on the baking sheet.
  • While chocolate is still wet, garnish with slivers of candied lemon or orange peel.
